Painting Ringside at FEI World Cup in Omaha

The FEI World Cup™ Jumping & FEI World Cup™ Dressage Finals in Omaha was the debut for Lisa Marie’s work to the public and what a debut it was! The collection started with 30 paintings on display, and only 5 went home at the end of the week. And those 5 paintings only lasted another month, before moving on to collectors.

Because of the encouragement of TD Anne Suidko, Lisa Marie was invited to show the collection and sketch ringside. Caught by Lindsay Paulsen of Dressage Today, a photo of the sketch found it’s way on their Instagram account, and the rest is history! Pictured with Canadian Dressage rider, Karen Pavicic and FEI “I” Dressage judge Janet Foy, Lisa Marie was pleased to present “Because of You” to the Region 4 Dressage participants.

As Melanie Smith Taylor, 1982 winner of the Final on Calypso, said while commentating on NBC, “The world came to Omaha not knowing what to expect … and left with memories of nail-biting competition in a spectacular facility topped off with a good old dose of Midwestern hospitality.”
